The Marketing Working Group provides both strategic and tactical guidance to the MIPI Board of Directors, Technical Steering Group, Working Groups, Marketing Director and Communications resources to foster the growth and adoption of current MIPI specifications as well as the development of the next generation of mobile interfaces. The MWG continuously monitors and assesses industry trends to provide market validation for new areas of interest to MIPI members as well as helping to develop marketing requirements for new specifications.
Scope of Work:
Crafting of the overall message for the MIPI Alliance and working with the Board of Directors to market the MIPI Roadmap
Work with the TSG to identifying new specification through surveys, market research and providing marketing support for the Opportunity Gate process
Engaging new potential MIPI Alliance members and working to engage more existing members in the Marketing Work Group
Development of communication and education programs for both members, potential members and the market on issues critical to the Alliance’s future success such as IP policy, the membership model, and the roadmap
Promotion and driving the acceptance of the MIPI specifications in the target market segments
Develop programs to provide member companies value-add opportunities worldwide including: Tradeshow Booth Opportunities, Events & Speaking Opportunities, Public Relations
The working group is comprised of product and marketing experts, and offers insight across the entire mobile device ecosystem, including semiconductor companies, IP providers, software vendors, peripheral manufacturers, test labs and end product OEMs.
The Marketing Working Group supports targeted marketing activities for each of the Alliance working groups. These efforts are designed to increase awareness for the group’s specifications and impact on their area of technology.
