Create Higher Resolution Displays With VESA Display Stream Compression (Hardent)
Abstract: Display Stream Compression (DSC) is a VESA standard offering visually lossless, ultra-low latency video compression that increases the data transport capacity on display links by up to 3X. VESA DSC can be used to develop ultra-high definition displays of 4K and beyond for the mobile, automotive, and AR/VR markets. This presentation will discuss the challenges of designing products to meet the demands of current and future displays and highlight how DSC compression offers an innovative solution to deal with these challenges.
