MIPI encompasses a comprehensive portfolio of specifications to interface chipsets and peripherals in a wide range of devices. The specifications can be applied to interconnect a full range of components—from the modem, antenna and application processor to the camera, display, sensors and other peripherals.  MIPI specifications are deployed across a broad range of applications and end markets from mobile handsets to IoT and automotive.

Licinio Sousa - Staff Product Marketing Manager, Synopsys
Licinio Sousa joined Synopsys in 2009 and is currently a staff product marketing manager responsible for its DesignWare MIPI and Mobile Storage IP Solutions. Licinio brings more than 16 years of experience in semiconductor, IP and EDA companies, focusing on software and hardware design. He has also held various R&D, field applications engineering and marketing positions at Synopsys. He holds a bachelor of science degree from University of Porto in electrical and computer engineering and an MBA from Porto Business School.

Darren Gray - Engineering Fellow, GRL
Darren is an engineering fellow of GRL, based in GRL's Santa Clara headquarters, where he supports test programs for a wide breadth of high-speed customer designs and serves as GRL’s lead MIPI PHY test expert. Prior to GRL, Darren spent over eight years at Tektronix/Synthesys Research, where he was a senior application engineer, and before that was an engineer for JDSU. Darren is an expert in receiver testing and optical transceiver characterization, and his wide-breadth of expertise in high-speed serial data standards include MIPI as well as IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, PCI Express, USB, and DisplayPort. Darren holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
