Sleeping Room Reservations
MIPI Alliance has negotiated a special room block rate with the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver; 39 Smithe Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 0R3, Canada. +1-604-676-0888 (toll free). The deadline date for this rate is 3 October 2022, or until rooms sell out.
Method of booking
This rate is pre-populated at $289 CAD single/double and $329 CAD triple, per night. Hotel’s room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 17.5%) in effect at the time of check-out.
Guarantee & Cancellation Policy
All reservation requests will require a credit card. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one night's room and tax. Quoted sleeping room rates will be offered based on availability, three calendar days before and after the event dates of 17-21 October 2022.
The JW Marriott Parq Vancouver Hotel does not officially offer sponsor letters and/or letters of support for visa applications; however, requests could be made although your sleeping room reservation should suffice.
You can use the MIPI support visa letter to help support your visa application and populate all relevant data as highlighted in the template document. The template letter is intended only as a support letter for visa applications and for MIPI Alliance members.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is 14 kilometers south of the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver hotel, approximately a 25-30-minute drive.
Getting to the Hotel
The JW Marriott Parq hotel does not offer a shuttle, although you can reserve a limousine using their preferred partner, Imperial Global Chauffeur.
Canada Line is Vancouver’s rapid transit rail connecting YVR to downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes and to downtown Richmond in 18 minutes. You can access trains from both the International and Domestic Terminals. A one-way fare from the airport to downtown is approx. $4.45 CAD. Plan your journey with Canada Line.

Uber & Lyft
As of 22 September 2022, the federal government has decided to drop the vaccination requirement for people entering Canada, end random COVID-19 testing at airports and make the use of the ArriveCAN app optional by the end of September 2022. MIPI Alliance will keep members updated as we hear more details.
