Since its introduction in 2020, the MIPI A-PHY® specification has evolved to meet the latest automotive long-reach SerDes requirements. This session will provide an update on the enhancements delivered in A-PHY v1.1.1 and offer a preview of the new features slated for release in A-PHY v2.0, which include doubling the downlink data rate to 32 Gbps (per lane) and increasing the maximum uplink data rate to 1.66 Gbps. The session will also cover the suitability of A-PHY for use in zonal architectures, the release of new A-PHY protocol adaptation layers, introduction of new power-over-A-PHY power classes, expansion of the A-PHY ecosystem and plans for interoperability testing.
