How to join MIPI Alliance


How can my company join MIPI Alliance?

Membership is at the company level. We have two types of new membership levels: Contributor and Adopter. The differences are outlined on the Membership Model page. Please read the steps outlined below for information about joining MIPI Alliance and then submit your application via the steps below.

Is my company already a member of the Alliance?

Before submitting an application, please first check the membership directory to confirm that your company is not already a member of MIPI Alliance. If your company is a member, you may register for a user account to access MIPI specifications and information.

Steps to Join the MIPI Alliance


Complete the Online Membership Application Form.

In order to complete the membership application form you will need to determine whether your company is applying to be a Contributor or Adopter member. 

If your company’s membership revenue is below USD $250 million, you may qualify for the discounted rate. Please check the appropriate box when completing the form.

If this box is checked, you will be asked to provide your latest year-end financial statements for confirmation.

Sign the Membership Agreement.

Upon receipt of the Membership Application Form, the MIPI Admin team will send you via DocuSign a package of reference materials, as well as a Membership Agreement and an information form to be submitted back to MIPI Alliance.  


Pay membership dues.

Once the signed agreement and information form are received, you will receive an invoice for the membership fee.

New members receive a pro-rated invoice for membership through December 31. Upon payment of the membership fee, your company’s membership will be activated.

You will receive a counter-signed copy of the Membership Agreement via DocuSign, as well as an email notification confirming your MIPI Alliance membership. At this point you will receive access to our member website where you can download specifications and begin membership activity.


(For Contributor applications only)

If your company is applying for Contributor membership, please submit a presentation that includes a brief company introduction and describes how the MIPI Alliance would benefit from your Contributor membership.

The proposal should be no more than 5 slides and should focus on your company’s technical expertise and available resources.

You can submit your presentation by sending it to, in a PDF (preferred) PowerPoint format. The presentation will be forwarded to the MIPI Alliance Board of Directors for approval.
