Participate in the MIPI Contributor Trial Membership Program

The Contributor Trial Membership Program offers Adopter-level members the opportunity to participate in a three-month trial period, during which you can join working groups, learn more about specifications in development, and engage with fellow developers and implementers. Trial participants are required to sign up for at least one working group, observe at least three meetings and attend an in-person MIPI Alliance Member Meeting.

Next Trial Period

The trial periods in 2025 are being held February to April, May to July and October to December. Participants in the upcoming 1 October to 31 December trial will be required to attend MIPI Alliance Member Meeting #70, 10-14 November in Bangkok, Thailand.

Interest forms are due by 1 October.

Program Details

  • Trial program interest forms must be submitted by the first day of the first month of the trial period (1 February, 1 May, 1 October). Submissions will not be accepted after the third week of the month that the trial period begins.
  • The trial period will extend for three months.
  • The program will be limited to 10 companies.
  • Participating companies will remain Adopter members, although they will have expanded Causeway permissions during the trial period.
  • Trial program participants will not have voting rights.
  • The MIPI team will regularly monitor company activity and report any unusual actions.
  • For those who decide to upgrade following the trial period, dues will be prorated for the remaining months of the year.
  • Former Contributor members are ineligible to participate in the program.
  • Members may participate in the program for only 1 trial period.

Program Terms

  • During the trial period, participants will sign up for at least one working group and observe at least three meetings.
  • Companies will be required to send a representative to the MIPI Member Meeting (or the replacement Virtual Member Meeting when applicable) during the trial period. If no representative attends the meeting, the trial period will end, and Causeway permissions will be reverted.
