The upcoming MIPI Demo Day, 21 October at the Grand Hyatt Taipei, will feature 16 MIPI members demonstrating their latest MIPI products, test solutions and innovations based on a wide range of MIPI interfaces and protocols.
The day will provide an opportunity for developers and engineers to see MIPI technologies working in real-world scenarios and speak directly with solution experts. Demo Day will also feature four education sessions, with MIPI working group leaders presenting the latest developments in I3C®, A-PHY®, SWI3S® and MIPI display specifications.

CSI-2 and DSI-2

Several members will demonstrate products that support accelerated development of MIPI camera and display projects. MAXVY will present its CSI-2® RX controller and DSI-2™ TX host controllers; Genesys Logic will demonstrate its CSI-2 fisheye correction chip, and Teledyne LeCroy will showcase its CSI/DSI analyzer and generator.
MIPI display developments will be presented in the MIPI education session, “What’s Coming in MIPI DSI-2 v3.0 and DCS v3.0.”
C-PHY and D-PHY
For those interested in MIPI C- and D-PHY demos, Acute Technology will demo its mixed-signal oscilloscope and MIPI D-PHY™ analyzer; while Introspect Technology will showcase its D-PHY/C-PHY test and measurement solutions. BitifEye and Keysight will jointly showcase C-PHY™ v3.0 transmitter and receiver testing, and Mixel will feature customer implementations of its C-PHY/D-PHY combo IP.
In addition, Silicon Line will demonstrate its D-PHY serializers and deserializers for long-reach connectivity. Teledyne LeCroy will showcase its C-PHY/D-PHY analyzer and generator products, and Tektronix will demo C-PHY/D-PHY transmitter test automation and D-PHY protocol decoding.
M-PHY, UniPro and JEDEC UFS
A number of demos will showcase the latest advances in high-performance UFS 5.0 storage, which leverages MIPI physical- and link-layer specifications. Synopsys will demonstrate M-PHY® v6.0 Gear 6 TX running at 46 Gbps and UFS 5.0 host-to-device capabilities. BitifEye and Keysight will feature M-PHY v6.0 transmitter and receiver testing, while Protocol Insight will demonstrate its protocol analyzer and exerciser capabilities for M-PHY 6.0, UniPro® v3.0 and UFS 5.0. In addition, Prodigy Technovations will showcase its UFS 5.0 protocol exerciser and analyzer.
A-PHY
Members will also be showcasing several tools for developing and validating long-reach A-PHY camera connectivity for automotive applications. BitifEye and Keysight will demonstrate their A-PHY physical-layer transmitter and receiver test solutions. Protocol Insight will showcase its protocol analyzer and link partner solutions supporting A-PHY v2.0.
The latest A-PHY developments will be presented in the MIPI education sessions, “MIPI A-PHY: New Compliance Program and Recent Specification Developments.”
SWI3S
Demos and education focused on MIPI’s latest audio interface, SoundWire I3S (SWI3S), will be on the agenda for the first time this year. Arasan will demonstrate its complete MIPI SWI3S IP and software solution. Introspect Technology will demonstrate testing of SWI3S-enabled devices, while Soliton Technologies will showcase SWI3S protocol compliance testing, real-time bus monitoring and audio validation.
The latest SWI3S developments will be presented in the MIPI education sessions, “Exploring MIPI SWI3S: Features, Applications, Tools and What’s Next.”
I3C, SPMI and RFFE
Several members will demonstrate MIPI I3C solutions. Acute Technology will showcase its I3C protocol exerciser, while Binho will demo protocol development tools for I3C specifications, including MIPI Debug Over I3C and MIPI specifications for I/Os over I3C. MAXVY will demonstrate its I3C solutions, Prodigy Technovations will showcase I3C and SPMI protocol exerciser and analyzer capabilities, and Tektronix will show its I3C and RFFE™ protocol decoders.
The latest I3C developments will be presented in the MIPI education sessions, “MIPI I3C Developments and New MIPI Specification for I/Os Over I3C Bridge.”
